Well really the picture says it all – this caterpillar was a Christmas present from Aunty Bel and Uncle Ash, and has recently become one of Will’s favorite toys…so much so he likes to eat it!!!

Well this is the first post for Will’s blog…..a place where we hope to keep you all up to date with Will’s latest milestones and other little bits and pieces.  Of course, seeing as Will is only 5 and half months old this site is maintained by his parents, Em (his mother who has no idea what she is doing!) and Pete.

So a brief background to Will – he arrived on December 23, 2007 – Pete’s 36th birthday. After several comments throughout Em’s pregnancy on the size of her bump (rather big) it was, to some degree a relief, to find out that we weighed in at 10lb 10oz (or 4.828kg) and 54cm long. To Em this meant that her bump was not entirely due to the copious amounts of chocolate she consumed during the pregnancy.

As at today, Will is 72cm long, and weighs 8.5kg.  His first two teeth made an appearance 2 weeks ago (bottom two teeth).

We are currently experiencing the joys of getting him on solid food.  Most sessions are either like getting food into those clowns you see at amusement parks (except Will moves his head a lot quicker!) OR it results in Will wearing a mask of whatever food is on offer. So far we have got through rice cereal, pureed pumpkin and pureed pear. This weekend we are hoping to try zucchini, partially to expand his repertoire, but also so Pete can see first hand the delightful (!!!) faces Will pulls each time he tries a new food!!
